I’m sure I’m not the only one to learn while on vacation, that your mother has been in a life-threatening accident.
Actually, I know for a fact I’m not because my sister’s family was out-of-state on vacation and got the same horrific news.
An unbelievable accident.
We knew she was a fighter. We expected that while she had a long haul ahead of her, she had been through the worst with two surgeries to clean gravel out of three-inch deep gauges on her legs and abdomen.
What we didn’t know was the dangers of the infections that one can contract while in the hospital. Even a very good hospital-one of the best in the nation for trauma patients.
That infection caused excruciating cramps, diarrhea, IVs, serious drugs, and a heart that raced too fast and too slow.
It brought phone calls of begging, praying, screaming, crying, whispers of fear that I can’t even write now.
It brought three of the most terrifying days of my life.
This accident has brought weeks of paralyzing fear but it also brought prayers and hope.
We have told my mother about the Facebook updates. The numerous prayers and well-wishes. She is so appreciative.
I know that she’s better because she is complaining about boredom and the food that is put in front of her.
I know I can breathe again.
I feel blessed.
Thinking of you and your family and hoping for healing and recovery for all.
Thank you so much! It has been horrific but we are finally seeing improvements
Oh my gosh, how terrible for you and your mother. My heart goes out to you and your family and especially your mother. Sending you good thoughts, hugs and prayers!
Thank you so much😀
Oh my goodness, I’m so sorry. I’m glad to hear she’s finally improving… sending many good healing vibes down the pipeline for your family and your mother. I imagine that will keep your heart racing for a while yet…
